The NORDIC PURE 20x24x1PCP-6 is a pure carbon pleated air filter rated MERV 8, sold in a 6-pack for residential and light commercial HVAC applications. The filter media is a non-woven polyester base infused with activated carbon derived from charcoal and coconut shells. This construction allows the filter to capture airborne particulates while simultaneously absorbing odors and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) on a molecular level. The nominal size is 20x24x1 inches, with an actual size of 19.5 x 23.44 x 0.75 inches. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable DIYers install these filters in standard 1-inch filter slots on gas furnaces, air handlers, and central AC systems.
