Nordic Pure 20x20x5ABM15-4 Merv 15 Air Filter 4 Pack

Product Description

The NORDIC PURE 20x20x5ABM15-4 is a MERV 15 pleated air filter designed as a direct replacement for Trion Air Bear filter housings. Rated MERV 15, this filter captures airborne dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smog particles, dust mite debris, smoke, and bacteria on each pass through the media. The actual dimensions measure 19.69 inches by 20.69 inches by 4.94 inches, fitting housings that call for a nominal 20x20x5 Air Bear-style cartridge. Each box contains four filters. The antimicrobial, electrostatic filter media resists moisture and inhibits bacterial and mold growth within the media itself. HVAC technicians and homeowners maintaining forced-air heating and cooling systems install these as routine maintenance replacements.

This filter is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air systems using Trion Air Bear filter housings that accept a nominal 20x20x5 cartridge with an approximate 4 15/16 inch depth. It performs well in environments requiring high-efficiency particulate control, including homes with allergy or asthma concerns and facilities with indoor air quality requirements. The MERV 15 rating makes it effective in applications where a mid-to-high efficiency filtration level is required without moving to HEPA-class media. Nordic Pure rates this filter equivalent to MPR 2800 for cross-reference purposes.

Installation Notes

Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or breaker before opening the filter housing. Confirm the actual slot dimensions of the housing match the filter actual size of 19.69 inches by 20.69 inches by 4.94 inches before installation. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 3 to 6 months depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions, with more frequent changes during renovation or high-particulate periods. Dispose of spent filters in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.
