The NORDIC PURE 20x20x4PM10C-2 is a pleated plus carbon HVAC air filter rated MERV 10, sold in a 2-pack. It uses a dual-layer media construction that fuses a MERV-rated pleated layer with an activated carbon layer. This design captures airborne particulates while the carbon layer adsorbs odors, VOCs, and gaseous contaminants. The result is 33% more surface area compared to standard pleated media and reduced airflow restriction. With a nominal size of 20x20x4 and an actual size of 19.5 x 19.5 x 3.63 inches, this filter is installed by HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners in residential forced-air heating and cooling systems.

This filter is suited for residential furnaces, air handlers, and central air conditioning systems that accept a 20x20x4 nominal filter slot. At MERV 10, it captures more than 85% of particles in the 3.0-10.0 micron range and up to 65% of particles in the 1.0-3.0 micron range. Compatibility

Designed to fit residential forced-air HVAC systems with a 20x20x4 nominal filter slot. Note: the actual depth of this filter is 3.63 inches. If the existing filter in a Honeywell or Lennox unit has an actual depth of 4.38 inches, the correct replacement is the 20x20x5 with a 4.38-inch actual depth, not this model.

Installation Notes

HVAC technicians or qualified installers should power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before replacing the filter. Confirm the actual slot dimensions against the filter actual size before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ. Install the filter with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower and away from the return air duct. Replace every 3-6 months or more frequently in high-dust or high-occupancy environments.
