Product Description

The NORDIC PURE 20x20x4M15+C-2 is a high-efficiency pleated air filter rated MERV 15 with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 2-pack. The electrostatically charged synthetic filter media captures more than 90% of particulates in the 1.0-10.0 micron range and up to 85% of particulates in the 0.30-1.0 micron range. The activated carbon flat panel adsorbs odorous gases, vapors, and VOCs while the pleated media handles airborne dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke, smog, bacteria, and dust mite debris. The nominal size is 20x20x4 inches with an actual size of 19.5 x 19.5 x 3.63 inches. A moisture-resistant beverage board frame and internal metal mesh support grid keep the filter structurally sound across its service life. This filter is manufactured in the USA.

This filter is suited for residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems where high particulate capture and odor control are both required. It is a direct drop-in replacement for standard 20x20x4 filter slots in furnaces and air handlers. HVAC technicians, IAQ specialists, and knowledgeable homeowners install this filter as part of routine maintenance or where occupant allergy or odor concerns demand above-average filtration performance. Note: if the existing filter in your system has an actual depth of 4.375 inches (as found in some Honeywell and Lennox units), this filter is not the correct replacement. Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light-commercial forced-air furnace and air handler systems requiring a nominal 20x20x4 filter with an actual depth of 3.625 inches. Not compatible with filter housings requiring an actual depth of 4.375 inches such as those found in certain Honeywell and Lennox units - use the 20x20x5 (4.375-inch actual depth) variant for those applications.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel. Always shut down the furnace or air handler at the system disconnect or thermostat before opening the filter compartment. Confirm the actual slot dimensions in the unit against the filter actual size of 19.5 x 19.5 x 3.63 inches before installation - nominal sizing alone is not sufficient for 4-inch-depth filters due to manufacturer variance. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 3 to 6 months under normal operating conditions; higher particulate or odor loads may require more frequent changes.
