The NORDIC PURE 20x20x2M13+C-12 is a MERV 13 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sized at 19.5 x 19.5 x 1.75 inches actual dimensions and sold in a 12-pack. The electrostatically charged synthetic filter media captures fine airborne particulates while the activated carbon panel adsorbs odorous gases, vapors, and VOCs. This combination makes it effective against smoke particles, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, bacteria, and lint. The antimicrobial media resists bacterial and mold growth within the filter itself. A heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame and a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats maintain structural integrity throughout the service life of the filter.
This filter is designed for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems, including central air conditioning and gas or electric furnace applications. It is well suited for installations where both fine particulate control and odor reduction are priorities, such as homes with pets, smokers, or occupants with allergies. The MERV 13 rating is comparable to MPR 2200-2400 filters. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners typically install this filter during routine maintenance cycles or when upgrading from lower-efficiency fiberglass, poly disposable, or washable filters. Nordic Pure recommends replacing the filter every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 20x20x2 nominal-size filter slots in residential and light commercial forced-air furnace, air handler, and central air conditioning systems. Actual size is 19.5 x 19.5 x 1.75 inches; verify the slot dimension before installation.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel. Always shut down the air handler or furnace at the thermostat and disconnect power at the disconnect switch or breaker before opening the filter compartment. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Replace every 30 to 90 days, or more frequently in high-dust or high-occupancy environments, to maintain rated filtration efficiency and system airflow.
