The fused dual-material construction reduces flow restriction and increases surface area by approximately 33 percent compared to single-layer designs. The filter media is permanently electrostatically charged and treated with an antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold. The heavy-duty beverage board frame is moisture resistant, and a metal mesh support grid is bonded to the pleats for structural integrity.
