The NORDIC PURE 20x20x1M12-24 is a pleated MERV 12 air filter sold in a 24-pack, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioners. The filter media is electrostatically charged and treated with an antimicrobial agent to capture fine airborne particles while resisting bacterial and mold growth on the filter surface. The moisture-resistant beverage board frame holds its shape in high-humidity airstreams. At MERV 12, this filter is equivalent to MPR 1500-1900 and delivers substantially higher particle capture efficiency than standard fiberglass or MERV 8 panels. Licensed HVAC technicians and property maintenance crews typically install these as routine replacement media.
These filters are suited for residential homes, multi-unit housing, and light commercial spaces where occupants deal with moderate allergies, asthma, or pet dander. The nominal 20x20x1-inch size fits a wide range of standard return-air grilles and filter cabinets. Nordic Pure rates the recommended replacement interval at one to three months depending on occupancy, pet load, and ambient dust levels. Homes with pets or allergy-sensitive occupants should target the shorter end of that interval. The 24-pack format supports bulk replacement scheduling for property managers and service contractors maintaining multiple units on a regular filter-change program.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement filter for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems using a nominal 20x20x1-inch filter slot. Actual filter dimensions are 19.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches; verify the actual opening size of the filter cabinet or return-air grille before ordering, as nominal and actual sizes differ across equipment brands.
Filter replacement is performed by HVAC technicians and qualified maintenance personnel; shut down the air handler or furnace at the thermostat and disconnect power at the disconnect or breaker before removing the old filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient the replacement to match. Dispose of the spent filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates. Follow local ASHRAE and equipment manufacturer guidelines for replacement intervals and filter ratings appropriate to the installed system.
