It is designed to capture airborne particulates while also reducing common household odors. The filter uses electrostatically charged synthetic media to trap particles as small as 3 microns. Each pass through the filter removes lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and similar contaminants. The carbon layer provides additional odor reduction not found in standard pleated filters.
