The NORDIC PURE 18x25x2PM8C-3 is a MERV 8 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 3-pack. The dual-material construction fuses a MERV 8-rated filtration media with a carbon layer, reducing flow restriction while increasing surface area by 33 percent compared to single-layer designs. The activated carbon captures odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) while the pleated media traps airborne particulates. The filter nominal size is 18x25x2 inches with an actual size of 17.5 x 24.5 x 1.75 inches. It is installed by HVAC technicians and experienced DIYers in forced-air heating and cooling systems.
