The NORDIC PURE 18x25x1M12MiniPleat-4 is a MERV 12-rated mini pleat air filter sold in a 4-pack, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioning units. The filter uses a self-supporting synthetic polyester fiber media engineered with 2.5 times more pleats than standard filters, increasing surface area for particle capture while maintaining adequate airflow. The heavy-duty 2-part beverage board frame is moisture-resistant, which helps the filter hold its shape across a full service cycle. Licensed HVAC technicians and experienced DIYers install this filter as a direct drop-in replacement during routine maintenance.
This filter is suited for residential forced-air systems where improved indoor air quality is a priority, including homes with pets, allergy sufferers, or occupants sensitive to airborne particles. It is also appropriate for light commercial applications. The MERV 12 rating makes it effective in environments with higher concentrations of fine particulates, such as during renovations or home improvement work. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 2 to 3 months depending on environment and system runtime. The nominal size is 18x25x1, with an actual size of 17.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches.
Designed for HVAC systems requiring a nominal 18x25x1 filter. Always verify the actual filter slot dimensions against the actual size of 17.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ. Nominal filter sizes printed on housings do not always match actual opening dimensions.
Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow toward the blower. HVAC technicians should inspect the filter housing for tears or bypass gaps that would reduce filtration effectiveness. Replace every 2 to 3 months under normal operating conditions, or more frequently in high-dust or high-occupancy environments.
