The NORDIC PURE 18x24x4M7-1 is a MERV 7 pleated air filter designed for residential HVAC systems, including central air conditioning and gas or electric furnaces. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that attracts and captures airborne particulates ranging from 3.0 to 10.0 microns in size. A heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame gives the filter structural integrity, and a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats prevents collapse under normal airflow conditions. The antimicrobial media inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold within the filter itself. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners install this filter as a routine maintenance replacement.
This filter is suited for residential and light-commercial HVAC applications where regular particulate control is the primary goal. It targets common indoor contaminants including lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, and bacteria. The MERV 7 rating makes it a direct performance equivalent to filters rated MPR 600. The nominal size is 18x24x4 with an actual size of 17.5 x 23.38 x 3.63 inches, which is the measurement to verify before installation. Nordic Pure recommends replacing the filter every 3 to 6 months under typical residential conditions, with more frequent changes during renovation or high-dust periods.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated filter for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems requiring a nominal 18x24x4 filter slot. Verify the actual opening dimensions against the actual filter size of 17.5 x 23.38 x 3.63 inches before installation.
Filter replacement is a standard HVAC maintenance task performed by licensed technicians or qualified homeowners. Always set the thermostat to off and confirm the air handler or furnace blower has stopped before removing the old filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient the replacement filter so the arrow points toward the blower. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.
