The NORDIC PURE 18x24x4M14+C-2 is a high-efficiency MERV 14 pleated air filter with activated carbon, sold as a 2-pack. It combines electrostatically charged synthetic filter media with a flat-panel activated charcoal layer to capture airborne particulates and adsorb odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The pleated media captures more than 90% of 1.0-10.0 micron particles and up to 85% of 0.30-1.0 micron particles. Contaminants trapped include lint, household dust, pollen, dust mite debris, pet dander, smoke, smog, mold spores, and bacteria. The frame is a heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board construction with a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats. A licensed HVAC technician or knowledgeable installer handles this filter in residential or light-commercial forced-air systems.

This filter is suited for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems rated to handle MERV 14 filtration and above. Because of the high filtration efficiency and corresponding airflow restriction, it is important to confirm your system is rated for MERV 14 before installation.
