Product Description

The NORDIC PURE 18x24x2M14+C-12 is a MERV 14 pleated air filter with activated carbon, sold in a 12-pack for residential and light commercial HVAC applications. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material combined with a flat activated carbon panel that captures fine airborne particulates and adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The nominal size is 18x24x2 inches with an actual size of 17.38 x 23.38 x 1.75 inches. A metal mesh support grid is bonded to the pleats for structural integrity, and the frame is constructed from moisture-resistant beverage board. The antimicrobial media inhibits bacterial and mold growth within the filter itself.

This filter is designed for forced-air heating and cooling systems where both high particulate filtration and odor control are required. At MERV 14, it captures airborne dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke particles, dust mite debris, smog, and bacteria. It is equivalent to an MPR 2800 rating. Because MERV 14 generates higher static pressure than lower-rated filters, the HVAC system must be rated to handle MERV 14 or above. This filter is well-suited to newer high-efficiency systems.
