The NORDIC PURE 18x20x1PM8C-2 is a MERV 8 pleated plus carbon air filter sold in a 2-pack for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The filter uses a dual-layer construction that fuses MERV 8 rated filtration media with an activated carbon layer, delivering both particulate capture and odor reduction in a single filter. The nominal size is 18x20x1 inches with an actual size of 17.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches. Permanently electrostatically charged media acts as a magnet for airborne particles, while the activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). A heavy-duty moisture-resistant beverage board frame and internal metal mesh support grid maintain filter integrity under normal HVAC airflow.
