The NORDIC PURE 18x20x1M7+C-4 is a pleated MERV 7 air filter with activated carbon media, designed for residential forced-air HVAC systems. Each filter combines an electrostatically charged synthetic pleated media with a flat activated carbon panel that captures airborne particulates and adsorbs odorous gases, vapors, and VOCs. The nominal size is 18x20x1 inches with an actual size of 17.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches. The heavy-duty beverage board frame is moisture resistant, and a bonded metal mesh support grid reinforces the pleated media. This four-pack is installed by HVAC technicians or knowledgeable homeowners performing routine filter maintenance.
This filter is suited for residential gas furnaces, air handlers, and central air conditioning systems where both particulate control and odor reduction are required. It captures lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, mold spores, pet dander, bacteria, and smoke particles. The antimicrobial media inhibits bacterial and mold growth within the filter itself. The MERV 7 rating makes this an appropriate upgrade from standard fiberglass or poly disposable filters in systems where static pressure limitations allow. Recommended replacement interval is every 30 to 90 days depending on household conditions and usage.
Designed for residential and light-commercial forced-air furnaces, air handlers, and central AC systems accepting a 18x20x1 nominal filter. Actual filter dimensions are 17.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches - verify the filter slot size before ordering, as nominal and actual sizes differ across equipment manufacturers.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect before removing the existing filter. Confirm airflow direction indicated on the filter frame matches system airflow before seating the filter. Replace every 30 to 90 days, or more frequently in high-dust or renovation environments, to maintain system efficiency and filtration performance.
