The NORDIC PURE 18x18x1M11MiniPleat-12 is a MERV 11 rated mini-pleat air filter sold in a 12-pack for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Each filter carries a nominal size of 18x18x1 inches with an actual size of 17.75 x 17.75 x 0.75 inches. The mini-pleat design uses 2.5 times more pleats than standard filters, increasing usable media surface area and particle-capture efficiency without creating excessive static pressure drop. The synthetic polyester fiber media is self-supporting and housed in a 2-part, moisture-resistant beverage board frame built to hold its shape throughout the service cycle. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable DIYers install these as routine maintenance replacements in forced-air furnace and air-handler applications.
This filter targets residential and light commercial forced-air systems where improved indoor air quality is a priority without a full high-MERV pressure penalty. It is rated to capture lint, household dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, smoke particles, virus carriers, and allergens. Nordic Pure recommends a replacement interval of every 2 to 3 months, though high-traffic spaces, renovation environments, or homes with multiple pets may require more frequent changes. The 12-pack format supports a full year or more of planned maintenance on a single order.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement filter for residential and light commercial forced-air furnace and air-handler systems accepting a nominal 18x18x1 inch filter. Always verify the actual filter slot dimension against the stated actual size of 17.75 x 17.75 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes frequently differ across equipment manufacturers.
Filter replacement is a routine maintenance task performed by HVAC technicians or qualified building maintenance personnel. Always power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Note airflow direction arrows printed on the filter frame and orient the replacement filter to match. Inspect the filter housing gasket or track for debris buildup that could allow air bypass around the new filter.
