The NORDIC PURE 16x30x2M7+C-3 is a pleated MERV 7 air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sized at 16x30x2 inches nominal and sold in a 3-pack. The electrostatically charged synthetic media captures large airborne particles including household dust, pollen, dust mites, mold spores, pet dander, lint, and bacteria. The added flat-panel activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases, vapors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), helping maintain fresher air in residential HVAC systems. The filter media is antimicrobial, inhibiting the growth of mold and bacteria within the filter itself. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners typically install this filter in forced-air heating and cooling systems.
This filter is designed for residential forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems that accept a 16x30x2 inch filter. The actual filter dimensions are 15.75 x 29.75 x 1.75 inches, which is standard for nominal 16x30x2 filter slots. It is well suited to homes where occupants are sensitive to dust, pollen, pet dander, or household odors. The carbon layer makes it a practical choice for households with smokers, pets, or recent renovation activity. Nordic Pure rates this filter equivalent to an MPR 600 filter, placing it in the mid-efficiency range for residential HVAC applications. Filter replacement is recommended every 30 to 90 days depending on usage conditions and air quality.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for residential forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems that accept a nominal 16x30x2 inch filter. Actual size is 15.75 x 29.75 x 1.75 inches; verify the actual slot dimensions of the equipment before installation to confirm fit.
Filter installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician or a qualified homeowner during routine maintenance. Always set the system thermostat to the off position before removing the existing filter to prevent unfiltered air from passing through the air handler. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient the new filter so that arrow points toward the blower. Inspect the filter slot and housing for gaps or bypasses that could allow unfiltered air to circumvent the filter media.
