The dual-material construction fuses MERV 8-rated filter media with a carbon layer, which reduces flow restriction while adding 33 percent more surface area compared to a single-layer design. The result is a filter that captures airborne particulates and adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) simultaneously.
