The NORDIC PURE 16x25x5HPM8C-2 is a dual-layer pleated air filter combining a MERV 8 filtration medium with an activated carbon layer in a 2-pack configuration. Rated MERV 8 and equivalent to MPR 800, it captures lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, mold spores, pet dander, and bacteria. The carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) including pet and cooking smells while maintaining low flow restriction and providing 33% more surface area compared to standard single-layer pleated filters. Licensed HVAC technicians and experienced DIYers install this filter in residential forced-air systems during routine maintenance.

This filter is sized for residential forced-air furnace and air handler systems that accept a nominal 16x25x5 filter housing with an actual depth of approximately 4 3/8 inches. The actual dimensions are 15.75 inches by 24.75 inches by 4.38 inches.
