The NORDIC PURE 16x25x5HM13+C-1 is a MERV 13 pleated air filter with activated carbon media, designed for residential forced-air heating and cooling systems that use a 5-inch media cabinet. The nominal size is 16x25x5 inches with an actual size of 15.75 x 24.75 x 4.38 inches. Filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material bonded to a flat activated carbon panel. This combination captures fine airborne particulates while the carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Licensed HVAC technicians and experienced homeowners install this filter in deep-media filter cabinets as a drop-in replacement for OEM media filters.
This filter fits residential and light-commercial forced-air systems equipped with a 16x25x5 media filter cabinet. It is rated for applications where superior particulate capture and odor control are both required, such as homes with pets, allergy concerns, or recent renovation activity. Nordic Pure identifies this filter as a replacement for Honeywell, Lennox, Carrier, and Bryant systems that use a filter housing accepting an actual depth of 4.38 inches. Filter change interval is recommended every 3 to 6 months depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions. Always verify the actual size of the existing filter or the housing before ordering, as nominal and actual dimensions frequently differ across manufacturers.
Designed as a replacement for Honeywell, Lennox, Carrier, and Bryant filter cabinets that accept a 16x25x5 nominal filter with an actual depth of 4.38 inches. Replaces Honeywell 16x25x4 and other filters with an actual depth of 4 3/8 inches. Always measure the existing filter or the housing to confirm actual dimensions before installation.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician or a qualified homeowner. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or breaker before opening the filter cabinet. Confirm airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Do not operate the system without a filter installed, and do not force a filter into a housing where the actual dimensions do not match.
