The NORDIC PURE 16x25x5ABPM12C-2 is a MERV 12 pleated plus carbon replacement air filter designed for deep-media filter housings that accept a 4 7/8-inch depth cartridge. The filter combines a MERV 12-rated pleated media layer with an activated carbon layer fused together into a single media pack. This dual-layer construction reduces airflow restriction while adding 33% more surface area compared to standard pleated media. The activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), while the pleated MERV 12 media captures lint, dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, bacteria, and other particulates. Sold as a 2-pack. Licensed HVAC technicians and experienced DIYers typically handle this replacement.

This filter is engineered as a replacement for Trion Air Bear and comparable deep-media filter housings that use a nominal 16x25x5 cartridge with an actual depth of 4 7/8 inches.
