Product Description

The NORDIC PURE 16x25x4M14+C-6 is a pleated MERV 14 air filter with activated carbon, sold in a 6-pack, designed for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems. The filter combines electrostatically charged synthetic media with a flat-panel activated charcoal layer to capture fine particulates and adsorb odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) simultaneously. It captures more than 90% of 1.0-10.0 micron particles and up to 85% of 0.30-1.0 micron particles per pass. The heavy-duty beverage board frame is moisture resistant, and a bonded metal mesh support grid stabilizes the pleats under normal system airflow. Licensed HVAC technicians and qualified service professionals handle installation.

This filter is sized for air handlers and furnaces that accept a nominal 16x25x4 filter slot. The actual dimensions are 15.5 inches x 24.5 inches x 3.63 inches, which differ from the nominal size - measure the existing filter before ordering. This pack is not intended for units requiring a 4 3/8-inch actual depth; those installations call for a 16x25x5 replacement. Typical applications include forced-air gas or electric furnaces and central air conditioning systems in residential homes and small commercial spaces where high-efficiency particulate and odor control are both required.

Compatibility

Designed for HVAC systems accepting a nominal 16x25x4 filter with an actual depth of 3 5/8 inches (3.63 inches). Not compatible with Honeywell or Lennox units requiring a 16x25x4 filter with an actual depth of 4 3/8 inches - those units require the 16x25x5 replacement.

Installation Notes

Power down the furnace or air handler at the disconnect or thermostat before servicing the filter cabinet. Confirm the actual slot dimensions match the filter actual size of 15.5 x 24.5 x 3.63 inches before installing - nominal and actual sizes differ. Install with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 3 to 6 months; higher-dust environments or ongoing home renovation may require more frequent changes.
