The NORDIC PURE 16x25x2PM12C-3 is a dual-layer pleated air filter combining a MERV 12 filtration media with a fused activated carbon layer for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The two-material construction reduces flow restriction compared to single-layer designs while delivering 33% more surface area than standard pleated filters. At MERV 12 performance, it captures fine particulates including dust mites, mold spores, pollen, pet dander, smoke particles, and virus carriers. The activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to improve air quality with each pass. Filters are sold in a 3-pack.
