The dual-material construction fuses a MERV 10-rated filtration media with a carbon layer, reducing flow restriction while adding 33% more surface area compared to standard pleated filters. The activated carbon attracts and holds odorous gases, vapors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) while the electrostatically charged pleated media captures airborne particulate. This filter is installed in residential and light-commercial forced-air heating and cooling systems by HVAC technicians or informed homeowners.
