The NORDIC PURE 16x25x1PCP-12 is a pure carbon pleated air filter rated MERV 8, sold in a 12-pack for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The filter media is a non-woven polyester base infused with activated carbon derived from charcoal and coconut shells. This construction allows the filter to capture airborne particulates while simultaneously absorbing odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) on a molecular level. The nominal size is 16x25x1 inches, with an actual size of 15.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches. A heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame with a metal mesh support grid holds the pleats in place and prevents collapse under normal airflow conditions.
