The NORDIC PURE 16x24x4M14-1 is a MERV 14 pleated air filter designed for residential and commercial HVAC systems requiring high-efficiency particulate capture. Built with electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic, antimicrobial synthetic media bonded to a heavy-duty moisture-resistant beverage board frame, this filter removes airborne dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke particles, smog, dust mite debris, and bacteria from circulating air. A metal mesh support grid is bonded to the pleats for structural integrity under sustained airflow. The nominal size is 16x24x4 inches with an actual size of 15.38 x 23.38 x 3.63 inches. This filter captures more than 90% of 1.0-10.0 micron contaminants and up to 85% of 0.30-1.0 micron contaminants. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable service professionals install this filter in forced-air systems rated for MERV 14 and above.
This filter is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air applications where high-efficiency filtration is required. It is particularly well-matched to newer, high-efficiency HVAC systems designed to accommodate MERV 14 or higher rated media, including systems that previously used HEPA-style filters. It is an appropriate choice for occupants with allergy or respiratory sensitivities, and for commercial installations where indoor air quality standards demand filtration above MERV 11. MERV 14 is equivalent to MPR 2800. Verify that your HVAC system is rated to handle the static pressure associated with MERV 14 filtration before installation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated air filter for forced-air HVAC systems accepting a nominal 16x24x4 inch filter. Confirm your system is rated to support MERV 14 or higher before installation, as the increased filtration efficiency raises static pressure drop compared to lower-MERV media.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or knowledgeable service professional. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the existing filter. Confirm airflow direction and align the filter so the printed airflow arrow on the frame points toward the blower. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 3 to 6 months, or more frequently during renovation activity or periods of elevated particulate load.
