The NORDIC PURE 16x24x1PM12C-2 is a pleated MERV 12 air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. It combines a MERV 12-rated filtration media with a fused carbon layer, producing less flow restriction and approximately 33 percent more surface area than standard single-layer pleated filters. The activated carbon captures odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) while the pleated media traps fine particulate matter. The filter media is permanently electrostatically charged to attract and hold airborne particles. This 2-pack is installed by HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners during routine filter maintenance intervals.
