Product Description

The NORDIC PURE 16x20x4M14-1 is a MERV 14 pleated air filter rated for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems. It carries a nominal size of 16x20x4 inches and an actual size of 15.5 x 19.5 x 3.63 inches, so measuring the existing filter before ordering is strongly recommended. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that captures airborne contaminants as small as 0.30 microns. It captures more than 90% of particles in the 1.0-10.0 micron range and up to 85% of particles in the 0.30-1.0 micron range. The heavy-duty beverage board frame is moisture resistant, and a bonded metal mesh support grid reinforces the pleats under airflow. Made in the USA.

This filter is suited for forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems in residential homes and small commercial settings. Typical contaminants removed include household dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, dust mite debris, smoke, smog particles, bacteria, and virus carriers. NORDIC PURE MERV 14 performance is comparable to filters rated MPR 2800. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 3 to 6 months under normal conditions, though higher dust loads or renovation activity may shorten that interval. Note: if the existing filter has an actual depth of 4.375 inches such as certain Honeywell or Lennox 16x20x4 units, the correct replacement is the Nordic Pure 16x20x5 with an actual depth of 4.375 inches, not this filter.

Compatibility

Always shut down the furnace or air handler at the system switch or thermostat before removing the old filter to prevent unfiltered air from circulating.
