Product Description

The NORDIC PURE 16x20x4M12-2 is a MERV 12 pleated air filter sold in a 2-pack, designed for residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems. The filter uses electrostatically charged synthetic media to capture airborne particulates on each pass through the system. It targets contaminants in the 1.0-10.0 micron range, capturing more than 90% of 3.0-10.0 micron particles and up to 90% of 1.0-3.0 micron particles. The nominal size is 16x20x4 with an actual size of 15.5 x 19.5 x 3.63 inches. The frame is a moisture-resistant beverage board construction with a bonded metal mesh support grid to maintain pleat integrity under airflow. Licensed HVAC technicians and qualified service professionals handle installation.

This filter fits standard 4-inch filter slots in residential gas furnaces, heat pumps, and split-system air handlers where a 16x20x4 nominal filter is specified. It is rated MERV 12, which is equivalent to an MPR rating of 1500-1900. The electrostatic media removes lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, smoke particles, virus carriers, bacteria, mold spores, and allergens. Nordic Pure recommends replacing the filter every 3-6 months depending on indoor and outdoor conditions. Note: if the existing filter in a Honeywell or Lennox unit has an actual depth of 4.375 inches rather than 3.63 inches, the correct replacement is the 16x20x5 model, not this one.
