The activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases, vapors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), while the electrostatically charged pleated media captures airborne particulates. The frame is constructed from moisture-resistant beverage board with a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats for structural integrity. This filter is designed for installation in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems by HVAC technicians or qualified DIYers.
