The NORDIC PURE 16x16x1M13MiniPleat-2 is a MERV 13-rated mini pleat air filter sold in a 2-pack, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioners. The filter uses a self-supporting synthetic polyester fiber media housed in a heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame. With 2.5 times more pleats than a standard filter, the increased surface area captures finer airborne particles at MERV 13 efficiency while maintaining adequate airflow through the system. The nominal size is 16x16x1 inches, with an actual size of 15.75 x 15.75 x 0.75 inches. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable DIYers install this filter as a direct drop-in replacement during routine maintenance cycles.
This filter is suited for residential homes and commercial spaces where air quality is a priority. It is especially effective in environments with pets, allergy sufferers, or during renovation and construction activity that generates elevated levels of dust, debris, and particulates. The MERV 13 rating makes it capable of capturing lint, household dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, smoke particles, virus carriers, and allergens. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 2 to 3 months depending on environmental conditions and system usage.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement filter for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems that accept a 16x16x1 nominal filter size. Always verify the actual filter slot dimensions against the actual size of 15.75 x 15.75 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes frequently differ across equipment.
Power down the HVAC system at the thermostat or disconnect before replacing the filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient the filter so the arrow points toward the blower, not the return air duct. HVAC technicians should confirm the filter slot accommodates the 0.75-inch actual depth, as some 1-inch nominal slots are sized tighter than standard. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.
