The NORDIC PURE 16x16x1M10MiniPleat-6 is a MERV 10 rated mini pleat air filter designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Sold in a pack of six, each filter measures 15.75 x 15.75 x 0.75 inches actual size to fit standard 16x16x1 filter slots. The polyester filter media uses 2.5 times more pleats than standard pleat designs, increasing surface area for more efficient particle capture without significantly restricting airflow. The moisture-resistant beverage board frame is constructed in two parts for rigidity, and the self-supporting media resists mold growth. HVAC technicians and facilities maintenance staff install these filters in forced-air furnace and air handler applications.
These filters are suited for residential homes and commercial buildings where control of common airborne particulates is a priority. The MERV 10 rating makes them appropriate for environments where occupant health, pet dander, or pollen load is a concern. At this rating level, filters are typically recommended for replacement every two to three months depending on air quality conditions, occupancy, and local environment. They are installed in standard 1-inch filter tracks on gas furnaces, heat pumps, and central air systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light commercial HVAC systems using a nominal 16x16x1 filter size. Always verify actual filter slot dimensions against the 15.75 x 15.75 x 0.75 inch actual size before installation, as nominal and actual filter dimensions often differ across equipment brands and models.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Set the system thermostat to off and shut down the air handler or furnace before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of air movement toward the blower. Replace every two to three months under normal operating conditions, or more frequently in high-dust or high-occupancy environments.
