The NORDIC PURE 15x20x1M7+C-2 is a pleated MERV 7 air filter with activated carbon, sized at 15x20x1 inches nominal and sold in a 2-pack. It uses electrostatically charged synthetic media combined with a flat activated carbon panel to capture airborne particulates and adsorb odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The pleated media provides a high surface area for filtration while maintaining low static pressure drop for efficient airflow. The filter media is hypoallergenic and antimicrobial, meaning it will not support the growth of bacteria or mold. Licensed HVAC technicians and HVAC-savvy homeowners install this filter in residential forced-air heating and cooling systems.
This filter is designed for use in residential furnaces, air handlers, and central air conditioning systems with a 15x20x1 inch filter slot. The activated carbon layer helps reduce household odors from smoke, cooking, and pets while the pleated media captures lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, and bacteria. The MERV 7 rating makes it a practical choice for homes where basic particulate control and odor reduction are priorities. At MERV 7, it is equivalent to a Microparticle Performance Rating (MPR) of 600 and outperforms standard fiberglass, poly disposable, and non-electrostatic washable filters.
Designed as a replacement filter for residential forced-air furnaces, air handlers, and central air conditioning systems with a nominal 15x20x1 inch filter slot. Verify fit using the actual size of 14.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual filter dimensions differ across equipment brands.
Power down the furnace or air handler at the thermostat or disconnect before servicing the filter compartment. Confirm the airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor air quality conditions, occupancy, and the presence of pets or ongoing renovation work. Homes undergoing construction or remodeling may require more frequent changes to maintain system efficiency.
