The NORDIC PURE 15x20x1M13-3 is a MERV 13 pleated air filter sold in a 3-pack, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioning units. Each filter measures 14.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches actual size (nominal 15 x 20 x 1 inch). The electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic filter media captures lint, household dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, smoke particles, smog, virus carriers, and other airborne contaminants. The heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame maintains structural integrity in high-humidity conditions. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable DIYers install this filter as a direct drop-in replacement during routine preventive maintenance.
This filter is suited for residential homes, apartments, and light commercial spaces where improved indoor air quality is a priority. It is especially appropriate for households with pets, allergy sufferers, or occupants sensitive to airborne particulates. MERV 13 performance is comparable to MPR 2200-2400 rated filters used by other manufacturers. ASHRAE established the MERV rating scale as the industry standard for measuring filtration efficiency, making it a consistent benchmark across brands. Regular replacement every one to three months is recommended, with more frequent changes in environments with heavy pet dander, dust, or ongoing renovation activity.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 15 x 20 x 1 inch nominal filter slots in residential and light commercial forced-air furnace and central air conditioning systems. Verify actual slot dimensions against the filter actual size of 14.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches before installation.
Always power down the HVAC system at the thermostat and disconnect power at the breaker before replacing the air filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Standard filter replacement requires no tools. Filters should be inspected monthly and replaced every one to three months depending on system load and indoor air quality conditions.
