The NORDIC PURE 14x30x1M14+C-4 is a pleated MERV 14 air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 4-pack. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that captures fine airborne particulates, while the flat activated carbon panel adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This combination makes it suitable for HVAC systems in residential and light commercial settings where both particulate control and odor reduction are priorities. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners install this filter in forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems. The nominal size is 14 x 30 x 1 inch with an actual size of 13.94 x 29.94 x 0.75 inches.
This filter is intended for high-efficiency residential and commercial HVAC systems capable of handling MERV 14 and above. It targets airborne dust, lint, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke particles, dust mite debris, smog, and bacteria. The activated carbon layer simultaneously addresses odors and VOCs, making it a preferred choice for environments with pets, smokers, or indoor air quality concerns. The antimicrobial filter media inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold within the filter itself. Nordic Pure notes that MERV 14 Plus Carbon filtration is equivalent to the MPR 2800 rating used by some other filter brands. Because of the higher filtration resistance, the system must be rated to accommodate MERV 14 or higher filters before installation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated air filter for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems with a 14 x 30 x 1 inch nominal filter slot. HVAC systems must be rated to handle MERV 14 or higher filtration resistance. Verify actual filter opening dimensions against the actual size of 13.94 x 29.94 x 0.75 inches before installation.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician or a qualified homeowner. Power down the HVAC system at the thermostat and disconnect power at the air handler or furnace before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction arrow on the new filter matches the direction of airflow in the system before seating the filter. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor conditions, with more frequent changes during renovation or high-dust periods.
