The carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases, VOCs, and vapors, while the electrostatically charged pleated media captures airborne particulates. This combination filter is installed in residential and light commercial HVAC systems by HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners maintaining furnace and air handler systems.
