The NORDIC PURE 14x25x1M12MiniPleat-3 is a MERV 12 Tru Mini Pleat air filter sold in a 3-pack, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. It uses a self-supporting synthetic polyester fiber media engineered with 2.5 times more pleats than standard 1-inch filters, increasing the effective surface area for particle capture without significantly restricting airflow. The heavy-duty 2-part beverage board frame is moisture-resistant, which helps maintain structural integrity through normal HVAC cycling. With a MERV 12 rating equivalent to MPR 1500-1900, this filter targets fine particles including smoke, mold spores, pet dander, and virus carriers. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable DIYers install this filter in forced-air furnace and air handler return-air slots.
This filter fits nominal 14x25x1 filter slots with an actual size of 13.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches. It is suited for residential forced-air systems including gas and electric furnaces and central air handlers where improved indoor air quality is a priority. Typical applications include homes with pets, allergy-sensitive occupants, or environments with elevated dust loads such as renovation or construction zones. The manufacturer recommends replacement every 2 to 3 months depending on system run time and environmental conditions. The 3-pack format supports a full seasonal replacement cycle for most residential installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for any forced-air furnace, air handler, or HVAC system with a nominal 14x25x1 filter slot. Always verify the actual filter opening dimensions against the actual size of 13.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual filter dimensions frequently differ across equipment manufacturers.
Power down the furnace or air handler at the thermostat or disconnect switch before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction by locating the arrow printed on the filter frame and orient it toward the blower, not the return duct. HVAC technicians should follow equipment manufacturer guidelines and applicable local mechanical codes when servicing filter sections. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.
