The NORDIC PURE 14x24x1M12-3 is a three-pack of MERV 12 pleated air filters sized at a nominal 14x24x1 inches, with an actual size of 13.75 x 23.75 x 0.75 inches. These filters are rated MERV 12, equivalent to MPR 1500-1900, placing them in a performance tier suitable for capturing fine particulates including mold spores, smoke particles, virus carriers, pet dander, and dust mites. The filter media is electrostatically charged and antimicrobial, meaning it actively attracts airborne particles and resists bacterial and mold growth on the media surface. The frame is constructed from a moisture-resistant beverage board for dimensional stability. Licensed HVAC technicians and qualified service personnel typically install or replace these filters during routine system maintenance.
These filters fit standard residential and light commercial HVAC systems that accept a 14x24x1 nominal filter slot. They are appropriate for gas furnaces, air handlers, and central air conditioning systems where improved indoor air quality is a priority. MERV 12 filtration is well-suited for households with occupants who have moderate allergies, asthma, or pet sensitivities. Nordic Pure recommends replacing the filter every one to three months, with more frequent changes in high-dust environments or homes with multiple pets. Actual replacement intervals depend on system runtime, occupancy, and local air quality conditions.
Designed as a replacement filter for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, gas furnaces, and air handlers that accept a 14x24x1 nominal filter size. Always confirm the actual filter slot dimensions against the actual size of 13.75 x 23.75 x 0.75 inches before installation.
Filter replacement is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel; in many jurisdictions, filter swaps on accessible residential systems are also performed by the homeowner. Before servicing, set the thermostat to the off position and confirm the air handler or furnace blower has stopped. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient the filter so the arrow points toward the blower, not the return air duct. Discard the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.
