The NORDIC PURE 12x30x1PM10C-6 is a pleated MERV 10 air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 6-pack. The dual-material construction fuses the MERV-rated filtration media with a carbon layer, reducing flow restriction while adding 33% more surface area compared to single-layer designs. The activated carbon captures odorous gases, vapors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), while the MERV 10 pleated media traps airborne particulates including dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and virus carriers. The filter media is permanently electrostatically charged and carries an antimicrobial treatment that inhibits bacterial and mold growth within the media itself. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners install this filter as a drop-in replacement in forced-air heating and cooling systems.
This filter is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air applications where both particulate control and odor reduction are priorities. Typical installations include gas furnaces, heat pumps, and central air conditioning systems with standard 1-inch filter slots. The nominal size is 12x30x1 with an actual size of 11.88 x 29.88 x 0.75 inches. It is well matched to homes with pets, smokers, or occupants with allergies, and to any environment undergoing renovation or construction activity that increases airborne dust loads. NORDIC PURE rates this filter as equivalent to MPR 1000 filters on the 3M Filtrete scale.
Designed as a drop-in replacement for any forced-air furnace, air handler, or central air conditioning system that accepts a nominal 12x30x1 inch filter. Verify the actual filter slot dimensions before installation; the actual filter size is 11.88 x 29.88 x 0.75 inches.
Power down the furnace or air handler at the thermostat and disconnect switch before replacing the filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient it so the arrow points toward the blower, away from the return air duct. NORDIC PURE recommends replacing this filter every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor air quality conditions, occupancy, and pet or renovation activity. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.
