The NORDIC PURE 12x24x1M14+C-2 is a MERV 14 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 2-pack. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that captures fine airborne particulates while the activated carbon panel adsorbs odorous gases, vapors, and VOCs. Nominal size is 12x24x1 inches; actual size is 11.5 x 23.5 x 0.75 inches. A metal mesh support grid is bonded to the pleats for structural integrity, and the frame is a heavy-duty moisture-resistant beverage board. The antimicrobial filter media is rated to inhibit the growth of bacteria and mold on the filter surface. MERV 14 efficiency makes this filter equivalent to MPR 2800-rated media.

This filter is designed for forced-air residential and light commercial HVAC systems where both high particulate filtration and odor control are required. It captures airborne dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke particles, dust mite debris, smog, lint, and bacteria. Because of the higher pressure drop associated with MERV 14 filtration, the HVAC system must be rated to handle MERV 14 or higher. It is well suited for newer high-efficiency systems, including those originally spec'd for HEPA-grade filtration. The filter is recommended for replacement every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions.

Installation Notes

Filter installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel. Power down or set the thermostat to the off position before replacing the filter to prevent unfiltered air bypass during the swap.
