The NORDIC PURE 12x18x1M14+C-2 is a MERV 14 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 2-pack. The electrostatically charged synthetic media captures fine airborne particulates while the activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases, vapors, and VOCs. Nominal size is 12x18x1 inches with an actual size of 11.5 x 17.5 x 0.75 inches. The filter is built around a moisture-resistant beverage board frame with a metal mesh grid bonded to the pleats for structural support. Licensed HVAC technicians and experienced DIYers install this filter in forced-air heating and cooling systems rated to handle MERV 14 filtration.

This filter is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air systems where both high-efficiency particulate capture and odor control are required. It targets airborne dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, dust mite debris, smoke particles, smog, lint, and bacteria. The activated carbon element addresses odorous gases and VOCs that standard pleated filters do not capture. The antimicrobial filter media resists bacterial and mold growth within the media itself. Installation Notes

Due to the higher pressure drop associated with MERV 14 media, verify the system blower is rated to maintain adequate airflow at this filtration level. Replace the filter every 30 to 90 days depending on occupancy, indoor air quality conditions, and system runtime.
