The NORDIC PURE 12x16x1M13+C-2 is a pleated MERV 13 air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, designed for residential HVAC systems. It combines electrostatically charged synthetic filter media with a flat-panel activated charcoal stage to capture fine airborne particulates while simultaneously adsorbing odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The filter achieves MERV 13 performance, equivalent to an MPR rating of 2200-2400. The media is hypoallergenic and antimicrobial, meaning it will not support the growth of bacteria or mold. This filter ships as a 2-pack and is installed by HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners during routine maintenance.
