The NORDIC PURE 12x12x1PM10C-12 is a pleated plus carbon HVAC air filter rated MERV 10, sold in a 12-pack. The filter uses a dual-layer construction that fuses a MERV-rated filtration media with an activated carbon layer, providing both particulate capture and odor reduction in a single filter. The nominal size is 12x12x1 inches with an actual size of 11.75 x 11.75 x 0.75 inches. Permanently electrostatically charged media acts as a magnet for airborne particles, while the activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners install these filters in residential and light commercial forced-air systems.
This filter is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air heating and cooling systems where both particulate control and odor elimination are required. Typical applications include homes with pets, smokers, or occupants with allergies or asthma. The MERV 10 rating makes it effective against lint, household dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, virus carriers, mold spores, and bacteria. It is rated equivalent to MPR 1000. Replacement is recommended every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions, and more frequently during home renovation or construction activity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated air filter for residential and light commercial forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems that accept a 12x12x1 inch nominal filter. Always verify the actual opening dimensions against the actual size of 11.75 x 11.75 x 0.75 inches before installation.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician or a qualified homeowner. Always shut down the furnace or air handler at the thermostat and disconnect power at the disconnect switch or breaker before removing the old filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient the replacement filter so the arrow points toward the blower. Inspect the filter housing for gaps or bypass leaks after installation to ensure all air passes through the filter media.
