The NORDIC PURE 10x24x1PM10C-2 is a dual-layer pleated air filter rated MERV 10 with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 2-pack. The filter media combines an electrostatically charged MERV 10 pleated layer fused with activated carbon to capture airborne particulates while simultaneously adsorbing odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The result is 33% more surface area compared to standard pleated designs, with less airflow restriction. At MERV 10, this filter traps lint, household dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, virus carriers, mold spores, and allergens. It is installed by HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners in residential forced-air heating and cooling systems.
This filter fits standard 10x24x1 filter slots with an actual size of 9.5 x 23.5 x 0.75 inches. It is suited for residential and light-commercial HVAC applications where both particulate filtration and odor control are required. Typical use cases include homes with pets, smokers, or occupants with allergies. The antimicrobial filter media inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold within the filter itself. MERV 10 performance is equivalent to MPR 1000, making it a direct performance substitute for filters carrying that rating. The 2-pack supports a standard 30-to-90-day replacement cycle.
Designed as a MERV 10 pleated replacement filter for residential and light-commercial forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems using a 10x24x1 nominal filter slot. Actual installed size is 9.5 x 23.5 x 0.75 inches. Verify the exact slot dimensions before installation.
Air filters of this type are installed by HVAC technicians or qualified homeowners. Power down or set the thermostat to the off position before removing the existing filter to prevent unfiltered air from circulating through the air handler. Note the airflow direction arrow on the filter frame and orient the replacement filter to match before seating it in the track. Replace every 30 to 90 days, or more frequently in high-dust or high-occupancy environments.
