The NORDIC PURE 10x24x1M13-2 is a MERV 13 pleated air filter designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Sold in a 2-pack with a nominal size of 10x24x1 inches and an actual size of 9.5 x 23.5 x 0.75 inches, each filter uses electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic, antimicrobial media to capture airborne contaminants. The MERV 13 rating is equivalent to MPR 2200-2400 and meets the ASHRAE industry standard for filtration efficiency. The frame is constructed from heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board. Licensed HVAC technicians and service professionals install these filters in furnaces and air handlers across a wide range of residential and commercial applications.
This filter is suited for residential forced-air furnaces, central air conditioning systems, and commercial air handlers where superior particulate filtration is required. It is particularly effective in environments with pets, allergy sufferers, or elevated dust and smoke exposure. The MERV 13 media captures lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, smoke particles, smog, virus carriers, and other fine contaminants. Filter replacement every 1 to 3 months is recommended under normal conditions, with more frequent changes advised in high-traffic or high-allergen environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light commercial HVAC systems using a nominal 10x24x1 inch filter slot. Verify the actual filter opening measures approximately 9.5 x 23.5 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual dimensions differ across equipment brands.
Filter replacement is typically performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service professionals. Before replacing the filter, power down the furnace or air handler at the thermostat or disconnect switch. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow through the system. Filters should be inspected monthly and replaced every 1 to 3 months depending on system usage and environmental conditions.
