The NORA LIGHTING nhic-17qnbat is a 6-inch IC-rated, air-tight line voltage recessed lighting housing designed for installation in insulated ceilings without a mounting bracket. The air-tight construction limits conditioned air from escaping through the ceiling cavity, reducing energy loss. The housing carries an IC rating, meaning it is approved for direct contact with thermal insulation — excluding spray foam — as well as combustible framing materials.
