The NOGA PA1500 is an articulated arm indicator positioner holder designed to secure dial indicators, test indicators, and similar precision measuring instruments during inspection and machining operations. Built from aluminum, the PA1500 features a round base with a 20-inch arm length and a 35-pound magnetic pull force, providing stable, adjustable positioning across a wide range of setups. The M8x1.25 thread size and clamping diameter compatibility of 6.00 mm and 8.00 mm make it adaptable to common indicator stems found in metrology and quality-control environments. Machinists, toolmakers, and quality technicians are the primary users of this holder.
The PA1500 is suited for use on machine tool tables, surface plates, and ferrous workholding fixtures where a magnetic base is already in place or where the arm is mounted to an existing post or stand. The articulated arm design allows the user to position the indicator at precise angles and heights without additional fixturing. The 20-inch arm length accommodates setups that require reach beyond standard short-arm holders. This positioner does not include a base, so it is intended for use with a separately sourced magnetic or clamping base assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or upgrade positioner arm for use with round-base magnetic indicator holders accepting M8x1.25 thread posts and 6.00 mm or 8.00 mm indicator stem clamps.
Installation is performed by machinists or metrologists as part of a precision measurement setup. Before mounting, confirm the base or post to which the PA1500 will be attached is securely locked and that the machine or surface plate is de-energized or at rest. Thread engagement should be firm and hand-tight before applying any clamping force to the indicator stem. Do not exceed the rated magnetic pull or arm load when positioning heavy indicator accessories, as overloading the arm joints can affect measurement repeatability.
