The NIBCO TRED114134 is a wrot copper reducing press tee designed for use in pressurized water distribution and plumbing systems. Part of the NIBCO PC611 Press System series, this fitting measures 1-1/4 inches by 1 inches by 3/4 inches and uses press connections on all three ports, making it a fully press-style tee. It is manufactured from ASTM B75 Alloy C12200 copper, a high-purity phosphorus-deoxidized copper alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance and long service life in potable water and hydronic heating applications.
The press connection system eliminates the need for open flame, solder, or flux. A plumber or pipefitter simply positions the fitting onto the copper tube and applies a press tool. The tool compresses the fitting body, tightening the inboard EPDM O-ring against the tube wall and creating a reliable, watertight mechanical seal in seconds. This makes the NIBCO press tee an excellent choice for retrofit jobs, occupied buildings, or any situation where torch work is restricted or impractical.
The reducing tee configuration allows a main line to transition from 1-1/4 inches down to a 1-inch run while branching off to a 3/4-inch outlet. The fitting carries a 200 psi cold working pressure rating and is rated for temperatures from -20 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
