The NIBCO tp-pvc-410007a is a PVC Schedule 40 90-degree street elbow with a male NPT (MIPT) threaded inlet and a female slip socket outlet. It redirects flow at a 90-degree angle in low-pressure piping systems and is rated for a maximum service temperature of 140 degrees F. The fitting is joined by solvent cement on the slip end and threaded connection on the male end. PVC Schedule 40 construction delivers high corrosion and chemical resistance while keeping installed weight low. It will not rust, scale, pit, or corrode. Licensed plumbers and irrigation installers are the primary trades that work with this fitting.
This street elbow is rated for cold water pressure distribution applications including potable water supply, irrigation, pool and spa systems, and chilled water systems. The 3/4 inch size fits within the NIBCO Schedule 40 PVC fitting range of 1/2 inch to 2 inches. It is not approved for use with compressed air or any other gas under pressure. Sold individually; available in bags of 10.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install fitting for PVC Schedule 40 piping systems in the 3/4 inch size range, compatible with standard MIPT-threaded pipe and Schedule 40 slip-socket fittings used in residential and commercial irrigation, pool and spa, and cold water distribution applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified irrigation technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before cutting into an existing system. Use an appropriate Schedule 40 PVC solvent cement and primer on the slip connection; hand-tighten the MIPT threaded end with PTFE tape before applying final turns with a strap wrench. Do not use this fitting with compressed air, gas, or any non-liquid pressure medium.
