The NIBCO px80800a is a lead-free PEX reducing tee fitting manufactured to ASTM F1807 standards. It connects a 1-inch main run to a 1/2-inch branch outlet using a crimp-style connection method standard to F1807 PEX systems. The fitting is marked red, indicating hot-water service designation. It is installed by licensed plumbers in residential and light commercial potable water distribution systems where a branch takeoff with a size reduction is required at a single fitting point.
This reducing tee is suited for use in PEX hot-water supply lines where a main line of 1 inch must branch to a 1/2-inch outlet without the need for a separate reducer and tee. The red color coding helps technicians and inspectors quickly identify hot-side piping runs during rough-in and inspection. The lead-free construction meets federal and state drinking water regulations for use in potable water systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for F1807 PEX crimp systems in residential and light commercial potable water distribution.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local amendments. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into existing piping. Use a calibrated F1807 crimp tool with the correct jaw size for each port diameter, and verify each crimp ring with a go/no-go gauge before pressurizing. Do not use this fitting with clamp-style or expansion-style PEX connection systems.
